"I am Paul Harbour the owner and maker of Harbour Knives. I make handmade knives from high quality stainless steel. I use deer antler for handles and then use veg tanned leather for a handmade and custom fitted sheath.
After several years as a union carpenter, I returned to college and acquired a degree in English teaching. I now have 13 years of teaching, a Master's degree, and an Administrator's license in my repertoire,
Now, I am a full time knife maker. I started making knives 6 years ago. I made four knives for my kids. The next year I made 6 knives for some friends. Now, I make and sell hundreds of my knives each year. My wife, who is also a teacher and full time artist, and I love to travel and sell our products at festivals in the midwest."
My wife Jennie is also a full time teacher. We met in college and share a deep love for art and travel. Jennie makes wonderfully beautiful wood burnings and paintings. Her work looks good everywhere.
You will always find a theme of the outdoors in Jennie's and my work. We love to be in nature. Hiking, photographing, hunting and fishing is what we love the most especially if it in anyway involves water.
I hope you find something that you like in our shop. :-)
